Dr. William Fleming is a board certified orthopedic surgeon trained in the United States.
Dr. Fleming grew up in Washington D.C. He attended public school and graduated from McKinley High School, and later Howard University. He received his MD degree from Meharry Medical College. His orthopedic residency was completed at the University of Connecticut.
Dr. Fleming lives in south Richmond. He is Vice President of the Jahnke Road Community Development Association, and past president of Westover Gardens Civic Association.
His practice consists of general orthopedic surgery. This includes, but is not limited to conditions listed below. Dr. Fleming often operates on carpal tunnel syndrome , performs arthroscopic knee surgery, total hip and knee replacements, rotator cuff repairs, and various other hand and extremity conditions that require surgery. Other common orthopedic problems that are seen in the office are shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, hip, knee, ankle, back and neck pain.
Surgery is generally performed at Retreat Hospital or Richmond Community Hospital. Most outpatient surgery is done at Retreat Hospital, all inpatient surgeries are done at Retreat Hospital.
Our office participates with most forms of insurance. We accept worker's compensation claimants, and patients with legal representation. Dr. Fleming also performs Independent Medical Examinations and court testimony if necessary.
